Sony Pictures Animations is ready to explore the mysterious world of smartphones by bringing the famous emoji faces to life on the big screen.
The Emoji Movie follows Gene (voiced by T.J. Miller), an emoji struggling to grasp why he fails to have a facial expression like the rest of his peers. Upset and seeking answers, Gene enlists the help from his friends Hi-5 (voiced by James Corden) and Jailbreak (voiced by Anna Faris) to journey with him through their app-world to discover the mystery behind his face. The animated film also features the well-known symbols such as the meh face, smiley face, poop symbol, high-five, monkey and more.
