American Idol Season 11 Runner-Up Jessica Sanchez has finally found a record label to call home. Hey Idol fans, welcome back to ClevverMusic. 16-year-old powerhouse singer Jessica Sanchez fell short on Season 11 of Fox’s American Idol, but comes out a winner after all. Jessica has landed the same record label as winner Phillip Phillips, Interscope Records.
According to The Hollywood Reporter, Jessica was recruited by Jimmy Iovine, Idol mentor and Interscope Records executive. The album is due out in October and is rumored to be more “urban” than anything she sang on American Idol, which consisted of mostly ballads. And it seems she has already begun recording! Jessica tweeted “Another day at the studio #musicmakin’.”
This news comes shortly after Jessica was rumored to have snagged a guest spot on Season 4 of Fox’s Glee. The Idols head out on tour this summer starting July 6th in Detroit. Looks like things are shaping up for this runner-up contestant!
I don’t know about you guys, but we can’t wait to hear what the “urban” sound sounds like! Are you excited for a Jessica album? Leave a comment, and be sure to subscribe to ClevverMusic for more Idol news, see you next time.
