We’ve got your winners recap from this year’s 2012 BET Awards in Los Angeles! Hey guys, welcome back to ClevverMusic. This year’s BET Award show was a super star studded event, held at the Shrine Auditorium in Los Angeles. Host, Samuel L Jackson did a great job hosting the show, which saw an epic tribute to the late Whitney Houston.

Now, for the winners. New Mom Beyonce won for “Best Female R&B Artist” and accepted the award in gorgeous yellow dress. In her acceptance speech she thanked her heroes, Lauryn Hill and Mary J. Blige. She also dedicated her award to the late legend Whitney Houston.

Chris Brown beat out Usher and Trey Songz for “Best Male R&B Artist” and also went home with “Entertainer of the Year”. During his acceptance speech for Best Male Artist he surprised fans when he referred to upcoming ‘Fortune’ album as his “last album.” He said, “My last album that’s coming out in two days…I just want to thank all my fans.” But, thankfully his rep cleared it up for MTV News, saying he meant his last album “he made.”

Other big winners of the night were The Throne duo, Kanye and Jay-Z who won “Best Group” and “Video of the Year”. Big Sean took home “Best New Artist” and Nicki Minaj won “Best Female Hip-Hop Artist”. For a full listing of the winners, just see below in the description.
